The Labor Day Invitational Regatta on Tomales Bay is our premier event of the year. This family affair involves camping on Marshall Beach for three days, where there is no road access, meaning that everything must be taken by boat! During the three days, there are beach activities and sail racing. The regatta consists of five races, four of which will be counted for the Regatta results.
Launch ramp for keel fleet at Miller Park is closed.
Beach put in for dinghys at Marconi Cove.
Camping on the beach in Point Reyes National Seashore.

Boats racing was down only four from last year (and only one from 2005) despite the launching venues problems. Over the past few years many have asked about running the races off the beach where spectators could feel more involved - so this year we tried it. It appears the majority liked the idea - especially the Pelican fleet.

Mark Madigan coordinated with the Pt. Reyes Nat'l Seashore and obtained the heads. Gordon Amrein the Principle Race Officer assisted by Kathy Kane, Fred Brass. Ed Kane and Mike Bolger were responsible for setting the racing marks and Mike was responsible for removing them before the race was finished. Mike Bolger and Fred Brass operated the rescue boat. Fred Brass and Bill Daniel provided wood for the campfire. The club thanks all who participated in the pot-luck hors d'oeuvres. We look forward to seeing you at our 2008 Labor Day Regatta.
